 1. High strength, light weight

2. Good toughness, high reliability

The steel is suitable for bearing impact and dynamic loads and has excellent seismic performance. Its internal structure is homogeneous and almost isotropic. The actual performance accords with the calculation theory. Therefore, the reliability of the steel structure is higher.

3. High degree of mechanization

Steel structural components are easy to manufacture in the factory and assemble on site. The steel structure component factory has high precision, high production efficiency, fast assembly speed and short construction period. Steel structure is one of the most industrialized structures.

4. The steel structure has good sealing performance

Because the steel structure is welded, it can be completely sealed to make high pressure vessels, large oil pools and pressure pipelines with good air tightness and water tightness.

5. Steel structure is heat resistant, but not fire resistant

When the temperature is below 150℃, the properties of steel do not change much. Therefore, the steel structure is suitable for high temperature workshops, but when the surface of the structure radiates about 150 ° C, heat insulation panels should be used for protection. When the temperature is between 300 and 400 ° C, the strength and elastic modulus of the steel are significantly reduced, and the strength tends to zero around 600 ° C. Buildings with special fire protection requirements shall use refractory materials to improve the fire resistance grade.

6. Poor corrosion

Steel rusts easily in humid and corrosive environments. General steel to rust, galvanized or painted, and regular maintenance. Special measures should be taken to strengthen the corrosion resistance of offshore platform structures in seawater.

7. Go green

The demolition of steel structures almost does not produce construction waste, and its steel can be recycled and reused, which is very environmentally friendly.
